Come as a guest, leave as a friend

In 2014 Douglas Park opened it’s doors with me, Ken, at the helm. I have been working in hospitality all my life, now delighted to be owning and running the Douglas Park Guest House. Every year I have returning guests from all over the globe. Visitors looking for bed and breakfast in Argyll will love my comfortable rooms and excellent home cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. My little dog Tilly will love to meet you too.

This classic Victorian Villa is situated in the quiet residential seafront of Kirn. Its five bedrooms have been extensively redecorated and refurbished and now offers substantial and elegant accommodation. We are located on the seafront, with all the amenities of Dunoon within walking distance (approx 15mins).

Included in the room rate is a welcoming cuppa and shortbread on arrival in our peaceful guest’s lounge with it’s stunning views out over the Firth of Clyde.
Keep an eye out for the porpoises! What a perfect way to start off your stay at Douglas Park.

we hope you share our

Luxurious base for your adventure

We enjoy getting to know our guests, finding out where/what they would like to see and do, and suggesting hidden gems in our beautiful area. Use Douglas Park for that relaxing holiday or even a base for something more energetic and adventurous like quad biking and clay pigeon shooting.
Having lived in Dunoon all our lives, we are always happy to suggest places to see and things to do … even should the weather get a little damp! We just love getting the maps out and help you plan a day’s touring in our fabulous part of Scotland… Oban is 80 miles away; The Isle of Bute and Mount Stuart House about 30 miles away; Tignabrauich and Loch Fyne… just a few suggestions that makes Douglas Park such a great base with a great location.
Stay for a few nights! We all too often hear from guests that they wish they had booked Douglas Park for longer. There’s so much to see and do. It’s great to do a touring holiday; but it is also nice just to take time, relax and chill-out in a one special place for a wee bit longer. We have several good restaurants and pubs with food around the town, so the choice is yours. We’re happy to recommend and book ahead for you.
Dunoon is the main resort on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula and the maritime gateway to the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Douglas Park is situated on the seafront in the village of Kirn, 1 mile from Dunoon centre.
